The Center for Investigative Reporting typically offers part-time reporting, multimedia and data internships in the fall and spring semesters to local college students working for class credit or through campus work study programs. From time to time, we will offer more specialized internships in our newsroom. In the summer we offer a limited number of paid internships with a salary of approximately $750 per week.
Because we have a very limited number of internship slots available, our selection process is extremely competitive. We are seeking applicants who have completed at least one professional internship and who have expertise in one or more of the following areas: news and research, data analysis or multimedia/video. Candidates are urged to submit a cover letter, three to five work samples and a resume, along with at least three professional references.
Internships typically last 10-12 weeks but can be extended.
