David Suriano

David Suriano is the lead designer for The Center for Investigative Reporting. David's passion for user interface design began before the popularity of today’s Internet. In 1987, he discovered the world of 2400 bps modems and local Michigan BBSes. By 1989, he was customizing the ANSI art interface of his own multi-node BBS. David later obtained his bachelor’s degree in visual communications from Collins College in Tempe, Ariz. Before joining The Bay Citizen, which merged with CIR in 2012, he was successfully self-employed as a designer for more than seven years, working with a diverse range of clients, from startups to billion-dollar corporations.
