Update on the Aerosol Test Facility: Rifkin's Suit Halts Construction

Congressional approval for a $300 million modernization of Utah's Dugway Proving Ground, a dangerously contaminated biological weapons test site where the US Army plans to develop new genetically engineered organisms in aerosol form, has prompted an environmental lawsuit opposing completion of the facility. Pending Defense Department completion of a full Environmental Impact statement, a federal judge has ruled that no further construction will be allowed.
